Jalen Tolbert is a realistic 2022 draft target for the Chicago Bears

One of the receivers not being talked about as much as he should be, in such a talented class, is South Alabama’s, Jalen Tolbert. The 6-foot-1 wideout has a little bit of everything in terms of what he can do well.

First off, Tolbert is not going to blow you away with blazing speed. His 40-yard dash time of 4.49 seconds was actually somewhat disappointing. Tolbert is viewed as a promising deep threat, but the speed didn’t show that off at his Combine performance.

Tolbert is a great deep threat, though, due to his above-average speed and his ability to shake off defenders in a multitude of routes. He’s a strong deep ball tracker, so regardless of how he ran at the Combine, he’s still viewed as that type of guy.

In Tolbert, the Bears would be getting a great route runner with very quick feet. He creates nice separation in many different types of routes, not just the deep ones. One of the best things you can say about Tolbert is that he showed up in big times. He comes to play, especially when he’s up against stiff competition. Like Moore, Tolbert is being mocked anywhere between Round 2 and Round 3.
