The Chicago Bears could sign free agent wide receiver Keelan Cole

One of the more underrated wide receivers in the league remains Keelan Cole, who was an undrafted free agent out of Kentucky Wesleyan. As a rookie back in 2017, and with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cole hauled in 42 passes for 748 yards and three scores.

Cole went on to be a number two or three option in the Jaguars offense for four seasons before signing with the New York Jets last year.

The one thing about Cole is that he’s never even had a halfway decent quarterback throwing him the ball. In Chicago, it would be interesting to see what he could do with Fields. He wouldn’t necessarily be a starter, but it would not be shocking to see him earn significant playing time.

The 6-foot-1 veteran is a bigger body and a nice, sizable target. He’s also remained very healthy throughout his career, which is something people might take for granted. Cole has never missed more than just one game in a season over his entire career. You can’t buy health, and Cole has it.

If he came in similar to a couple of these other guys, as a third or fourth option, Cole would be extremely valuable. He is a good player, period. He just needs better quarterback play.
