Should the Chicago Bears draft Alec Pierce?

According to Grinding the Mocks, Alec Pierce has been rising in mock drafts lately. Still, he is often looked at as a third-round pick. For the Chicago Bears, it would mean drafting him 71st overall in the 2022 NFL draft. Would that pick make sense?

Alec Pierce does a lot of what the team would want. A lot of fans wanted Chark added to the offense because he plays outside and can stretch the field. That is a nice mix with Justin Fields. If Ryan Poles can draft the upside of Chark with a fraction of the cost, fans would have to like the results.

Beyond that, the team has to like that Alec Pierce is such a fierce blocker, and was on a team that went undefeated in the regular season. He checks the profile of the type of people Chicago wants to establish a culture with as well.

The Bears wide receiver room is far from complete, and they are almost certain to draft one. Alec Pierce can help Justin Fields stretch the field, and can improve the run game. There is plenty of like about his fit with the Chicago Bears.
