Are you excited about the Chicago Bears most recent free agent signing? If you did not hear, the team signed Trevor Siemian to a two-year deal. We are awaiting the contract details, but I cannot imagine that Ryan Poles is agreeing to pay Siemian too much. Last year, Siemian played for the Saints on a one-year, $990,000 deal. We should expect his salary to be around $1 million per year once again. Now the question is, can Ryan Poles find a way to move Nick Foles?

We were all hoping, and Ryan Pace even attempted, to see the Chicago Bears trade Nick Foles last year. Unfortunately, that move never transpired as rumors swirled that Foles was making things difficult. It’s also possible the contract of Foles was not ideal for all teams. With a $10.6 million dollar cap hit this year, his salary is definitely excessive. That said, the Chicago Bears just picked up the tab on $4 million — leaving only $6.6 million left against the cap this year.

With the less expensive contract and only the 2022 season left on Foles’ books, teams may be more inclined to trade for the quarterback who is highly unlikely to play in Chicago this year. Technically, Ryan Poles could cut Foles and save just over $3 million. However, landing some draft capital in return would be the ideal way to go. The only problem is that you need two to tango and there is no guarantee that Poles is able to find a trade partner.

Let us take a look at three teams that could potentially be interested in contacting the Chicago Bears about a trade for Nick Foles.
