The Seahawks could trade for Chicago Bears quarterback, Nick Foles

We are witnessing two teams go through a rebuild. The Chicago Bears are one, but many want to believe that this is a retooling for them and not a full rebuild. That will all depend on the jump or lack thereof of Justin Fields from year one to year two. The Seahawks are in a slightly different position. After trading away Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos, the Seahawks are left with Drew Lock (received in the Wilson trade) and Jacob Eason.

It is highly likely that the Seahawks draft a quarterback in the 2022 NFL Draft, but the draft class is very weak and it might be beneficial for Pete Carroll to push to get another veteran quarterback in his quarterback room. There isn’t a connection here that I can find that would lead Carroll into wanting Foles, but based on the cost and the contract, Foles could make sense here.

Like the Raiders, the Seahawks don’t have a sixth-round pick. They too have a seventh-rounder though (229) and as I said, that might be all that Ryan Poles can get in return for a team to take on the $4 million in base salary that Foles is due this season. Seattle has plenty of cap space to take that on with over $15 million available.
