Reason No. 2 why Darnell Mooney can be the Chicago Bears WR1: Criminally underrated hands

One of the first things thought of when thinking of Darnell Mooney is his speed. Mooney is a guy that gets warranted attention towards his speed; however, something that should be thought of when Darnell Mooney is brought up is the fact that his hands are criminally underrated among the NFL.

Considering the fact that Mitchell Trubisky, Nick Foles, Andy Dalton, and yes, even Justin Fields, have thrown some not-so-easy balls to catch, Darnell Mooney seems to come down with the ball time and time again.

And when thinking of the perfect build for a No. 1 wide receiver, two qualities that are usually topping most builds would be speed and the ability to catch. With Darnell Mooney missing one of the qualities in “size” due to his lower weight, he makes up for it with his speed and underrated pair of hands.

With Darnell Mooney having those two qualities noted, what reasons left are there defending why Darnell Mooney has what it takes to be a true No. 1 wide receiver for the Chicago Bears?
