After trading up in the first, Poles works his way back down to acquire additional picks. Using the same Pro Football Focus simulator, this trade worked out well for Chicago. They ship the number 48 pick to San Francisco in exchange for No. 61 in the second round, along with a third-rounder (93) and fourth-rounder (134).

With that No. 61 selection, the Bears go offense again, only this time with an offensive lineman. The Bears take Kentucky’s Darius Kinnard, a nearly 6-foot-5 tackle weighing 324 pounds.

The Bears have addressed the offensive line just a tad in free agency, but no one is positive whether or not Larry Borom is cut out to start full-time in his second season. Because of this, Kinnard comes in and likely assumes that starting role.

Kinnard has fairly good mobility overall, which is something Poles desires in his linemen. But his raw, natural power is also evident. He has a nice combination of both.

Kinnard’s quickness off the line of scrimmage is noticeable and when he latches onto a defender, it’s very rare they can break free. As a late-second rounder, Kinnard is a fantastic value.
