While free agency so far has some Chicago Bears fans pulling their hair out, most of the signings they’ve made have been pretty on-par.

Whether it was the signing of Nicholas Morrow, Lucas Patrick, or now Dane Cruikshank, each free agent has had qualities that align with what Ryan Poles and the Chicago Bears are preaching for. And so far, Poles has been everything he’s said he’s going to be.

Ryan Poles sticks to his mantra, as Chicago Bears sign Dane Cruikshank

Though some think the Bears should entertain bringing in old and expensive free agents, Ryan Poles has stuck to what he said when introducing himself to Chicago and Bears fans worldwide. His attack is and has been, around getting young talent that shows potential at a cheap price.

Outside the voided Larry Ogunjobi signing, there hasn’t really been a face-flushing signing, which wasn’t always the case with Ryan Pace running the show.

Now, back to Dane Cruikshank and why he’s a defensive back that should get Chicago Bears fans excited; or at least as excited as they can be going into a likely not-so-great year.

Cruikshank signed for one year, worth $1,187,500 and $1,047,500 is guaranteed.
