The Chicago Bears would be lucky to draft one of these three prospects

Chicago Bears Draft Target: John Metchie III, WR Alabama
A standout pass catcher at Alabama, Metchie III caught 96 balls in 2021 for 1,142 yards and 8 TD, before tearing his ACL in the National Championship game. With blazing 4.3 speed, next-level suddenness, and elite route running ability, Metchie III would be a great addition to the Bears WR room.
Metchie does need to work on catching the ball away from his body, but he is a first-round talent from an elite “WR Factory” in Tuscaloosa. A freakishly athletic WR, who can lineup all over the field, his ability to get vertical and stretch the field pair ideally with Justin Fields’ play style.
As you look around the League, young QBs who are thriving don’t have any shortage of “weapons”. With just three starting-caliber receivers currently on the roster, the Bears are lacking both talent and depth. Adding a talent like Metchie, from a school like Alabama, would really be a good move for Ryan Poles.
Suffering a “clean tear” of his ACL, rehabilitation will go quicker for Metchie than some people expect. If his ACL injury causes him to slip in the 3rd round, I think Ryan Poles would be crazy not to pair him up with Justin Fields.
