2. Would the Jets trade Corey Davis to the Chicago Bears?

The New York Jets tried to trade for Tyreek Hill. They are reportedly interested in drafting a wideout in the first round this year. Considering they just re-signed Braxton Berrios to play the slot, and Elijah Moore had a strong rookie season, it appears as though Corey Davis is going to be the odd man out one way or the other.

The team could save $12M by moving on from the former first-round pick. Ryan Poles may see the former first-rounder and think that this is a good way to boost the wide receiver room.

Davis is signed for this year and next year, and he will be just 28 years when his contract is up at the end of the 2023 season. Considering the price should be in the Devante Parker range, it would probably be a safer risk and a possibly higher upside than Parker was.

Davis has not quite found the right fit. You can blame him, but between Marcus Mariota and Zach Wilson as a rookie, he has yet to be unlocked. No one is saying Justin Fields would do that, but the cost-benefit of adding Corey Davis is at least intriguing enough that you could make the case for the Chicago Bears trading for the former first-rounder.
