Considering the New England Patriots traded for a wideout, they may be looking to move on from Nelson Agholor. They have Kendrick Bourne, Devante Parker, and Jakobi Meyers all signed on. They may be adding more in the draft. If there were an odd man out, it would be Agholor.

Agholor did not excel last season despite the Patriots giving him a big contract. Still, the structure of the deal allows New England to get out of it rather easily. We saw with the Raiders that when Agholor gets the right fit, he can be a game-changer who takes the top off of defenses.

It has taken the right fit, but Justin Fields would be the deep ball thrower to get it right with Agholor. Agholor being a former first-round pick, and someone who had enough success in the NFL to sign a big contract last season could be intriguing to Ryan Poles.

Agholor is just signed for one year, but to help the Patriots move the salary it would possibly take as little as a day three pick swap. If the team could move down ten spots in the sixth round and take on the salary of Agholor, it would help them fill other holes with their earlier picks, and kill a couple birds with one stone.

If he is not a good fit, they would be free of him by the offseason, but the risk to reward would make him worth a call to New England.
