3. Wan’Dale Robinson, WR, Kentucky

Wan’Dale Robinson is another player who is plenty of fun to watch in the SEC. Some mock drafts have him as a second-round pick, but the Chicago Bears cannot bet on fun players who do not fit what the NFL is.

Wan’Dale Robinson is 5’8″ and weighs 178 pounds. Beyond that, he ran a 4.44. That is not a bad time, but for someone to be as small as him, you really have to be a bit faster to catch attention in the NFL. Wide receivers who weigh 200 pounds run a 4.4 often, so the speed is not something that is otherworldly for his size.

Below is a list of every WR in the past 22 years to be under 5’10”, under 180 pounds, and then over a 4.4 in the 40.

Lance Moore, Dexter McCluster, Tarik Cohen, Shaun McDonald, Troy Walters, Isaiah McKenzie, Ace Sanders.

A few other players were drafted but did not put up any statistics. This is the entire list.

If the team wanted to take a bet on day three, maybe Robinson the outlier who is that small without speed in the 4.3 range. Still, this is not the player to bet on in the second or even the third round.
