DL. player. 57. Scouting Report. NoahElliss. 6. Pick Analysis. Idaho

At pick 186, the Bears stay on defense and draft a very, very large man up front. At No. 186 overall, the Bears select Idaho defensive lineman Noah Elliss. Now, traditionally, the Bears might not want a guy as big as Elliss in a 4-3 scheme, but he would definitely hold some value as a rotational guy.

Elliss stands 6-foot-4 and weighs in at 367 pounds. He is a big man, indeed.

With his size and brute strength, Elliss is a perfect run-stuffer very similar to Khyiris Tonga. He has tremendous upper body strength and is able to push back opposing offensive linemen with relative ease at times.

Being this big and having so much strength makes it easy for Elliss to plug the gaps and disallow for running lanes to open up in front of him. He is absolutely worth taking at this point and would be of use in those short-yardage situations.

With all of his power and size does come the downside of not being as quick. Elliss definitely isn’t a fast guy and doesn’t move well, so he’s very limited in the types of situations the Bears could play him.
