The Chicago Bears’ list of pre-draft visits has been interesting. There has obviously been a large group of wide receivers, but there has been a mix of players beyond that. Some offense, some defense, some round two options, and some late day three, or even UDFA possibilities.

The Bears realize this year is very important for the depth of their offense, and they are doing their due diligence on the depth of the 2022 NFL draft class. Who are some players who have fallen under the radar that the team has brought into Halas Hall?

3. Esezi Otomewo, EDGE, Minnesota

Esezi Otomewo is the most known of these players that the Bears have brought in, so you know what the team is working with. According to Dane Brugler, he will be a sixth or seventh-round pick, and unlike the next two players, Esezi Otomewo was invited to the NFL combine.

Esezi Otomewo did not work out at the combine as he is recovering from a knee issue. The invite to the NFL combine shows there is interest in him across NFL circles, but without seeing him workout, the Chicago Bears obviously needed to do more work.

Otomewo is a two-year starter and spent five years at Minnesota. He will be a 23-year-old rookie, and while he has great length and power, he lacks a lot of pass rush performance. Still, Esezi Otomewo is a special teamer, and the Bears seem to like his upside. It will be interesting to see if his meeting at Halas Hall leads to him being a sixth-round pick.
