NFL Comparison: Phillip Dorsett

Average Mock Draft Position:168

Bo Melton spent five years at Rutgers and was a four-year starter. In the past three seasons, he led Rutgers in receiving. Still, Bo Melton never topped 700 yards at Rutgers as the program has struggled to adjust to the Big 10.

Melton is not the youngest prospect and coming from Rutgers does not have all eyes on him, but that is what could make him an underrated addition on day three. One thing that Bo Melton does have is speed. It is tested and he ran a 4.34 at the NFL combine.

Melton has very similar measurables to Phillip Dorsett, who was a first-round pick based on his speed. Dorsett did not live up to the draft hype, but has stuck around in the NFL as a fourth wide out who can stretch the field.

Like Dorsett, Melton is a bit thin and it hurts him with contested catches and hauling in the plays that force him to extend his catch radius. Still, his speed is always a threat and once you forget about him he burns you for a big one as a number four.

The Chicago Bears could take Melton with one of their fifth-round picks or possibly hope that he falls into round six.
