Less than a week before the 2022 NFL Draft, things still refuse to slow down on the wide receiver front. For the Chicago Bears, that’s one of the main positions of need, still, to this day.

As Ryan Poles is looking at Darnell Mooney and Byron Pringle to be his top two receivers right now, he is in a position to add more talent. Meanwhile around the NFL, wide receiver news is shuffling out each day.

Whether it’s veteran Deebo Samuel asking for a trade, the future of A.J. Brown in some doubt, or a couple of shocking trades involving All-Pros Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill, the receiving landscape is certainly changing.

On Friday afternoon, yet another wide receiver entered headlines as it’s been reported that the New York Giants are looking to move on from 2021 first-round pick and former Florida Gators standout, Kadarius Toney.

The Chicago Bears could fill their wide receiver need by trading for Kadarius Toney

Toney, the 20th-overall pick last year, had a rough rookie campaign. He did have some bright spots, showing how dangerous he can be with the ball in his hands and running after the catch.

He has a history of red flags when it comes to his maturity level and how he responds to adversity, which may be a reason the Giants are looking to move him. Although they spent high capital on Toney, the Giants hardly involved him in the offense as a rookie, and Toney grew frustrated because of it.

Now that the league knows Toney is available, and with his question marks, there is little faith the Giants will receive a first-rounder back for his services. However, if the Bears entered into the discussion, just what could a deal for Toney look like? Let’s take a look at three possibilities.
