The Chicago Bears could explore a trade into the first round with the New England Patriots

Finally, the Bears call a guy who is never shy about making a deal. Bill Belichick partners with the Bears here by sending his New England Patriots first-round pick at 21, along with No. 127 in exchange for the Bears’ selection at 39 and a 2023 second-rounder.

At number 21, the Bears take a dynamic, dominant, true number one receiver in Treylon Burks out of Arkansas.

For the last couple of weeks, Burks has been one who is falling out of the first round in some mock drafts due to running a slower 40 (couldn’t get below a 4.5) and some questions about his route tree.

The thing with Burks is, when you turn on the tape, none of that matters. This is a 6-foot-3 monster of a man on the outside who consistently made big plays and manhandled opposing cornerbacks. For the longest time, Burks had been a first-round prospect. Now, the Bears assure him of that status and bolster their weaponry for Fields.
