Chicago Bears Big Board No. 3: Tyler Linderbaum, Center, Iowa

Projected: Mid First to Early Second Round

Target for the Bears at Pick(s): 39/trade-up

Linderbaum was projected as high as the top ten at one point but as the NFL Draft has approached, his status on where he will be selected only has been getting more unclear. If Linderbaum was selected as high as the top 15 I would not be shocked, but if he fell to the early second I would also not be shocked.

Linderbaum is hands down the best center in the draft and maybe the best offensive lineman in the draft. Very athletic, a very polished pass blocker, and will most definitely be an instant contributor in the NFL.

Last year we saw Creed Humphrey fall to the second round for reasons we can’t explain and dominate the league upon arrival, and I wouldn’t be shocked in Linderbaum made a similar impact.

The Bears could use a center and Linderbaum is a match made in heaven for the Bears as he could be a staple of this franchise.
