There have been countless mock drafts through the draft season. Fortunately for us, Grinding the Mocks has been tracking every mock draft and we can now go back to this site and look at which players have been getting tied to the Chicago Bears the most.

To cut out some of the bad mock drafts and old mock drafts we used their expert filter, and also changed the dates from February through April. Drafts with Spencer Rattler going first do not matter. With that in mind, which five players are tied to the Chicago Bears most often?

5. Chicago Bears could draft Roger McCreary

Color me a bit surprised if this one does play out. Of course, the Bears need a cornerback, and the two have been tied in mock drafts for a while. However, there are reasons to avoid McCreary until later in the draft as well.

Fans will point out his tape against Alabama, but it is easy to pull a one-game sample like that from college. For example, Cameron Dantzler played better against JaMarr Chase than AJ Terrell and Trevon Diggs did.

The issue with McCreary is that he does not have the adequate speed or length to translate into the NFL. He may be better off in the slot, but did not play there, so the idea of the Bears drafting a player who does not hit size thresholds and will be in an uncertain positional projection it does not scream getting the franchise off on the right foot.

McCreary could be good, but the overall profile he brings has a lot of risk that may be tough for the Bears.
