4. Will Christian Watson fall to Chicago Bears?

It seems as though fans have given up hope that Watson will be available to the Chicago Bears in round two. However, for as much upside as Watson presents he is still a risky pick in his own right. We are talking about a small-school player who has a limited number of targets.

He also has a limited route tree and has dealt with drops. There is more projection than the great NFL combine performance suggests. Still, while this could be what causes him to fall to 39, he seems more in line with a fit to Chicago than McCreary.

Watson is a stylistic fit in the Bears’ offense. He profiles similarly to Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who just played with Luke Getsy, and Justin Fields is best at throwing the ball deep. The usage would be very similar and he would give the team an explosive element that they definitely need.

Do not be shocked if Watson is indeed on the board for the Chicago Bears pick.
