Remaining player for Chicago Bears on Day 2: Roger McCreary (CB, Auburn)

Following Christian Watson is a player that surprisingly is still available going into Day 2. The Chicago Bears would be smart to use their 39th pick on Roger McCreary out of Auburn.

Though he might not be at the same level as Sauce Gardner or Trent McDuffie, getting him at 39th would be great value, and it would beef up their secondary.

Cornerback is a position of need for the Chicago Bears— as are a handful of positions— but even when evaluating the best player available, Roger McCreary is among the top once Day 2 begins.

Facing up against top college talent as a three-year starter for Auburn, Roger McCreary faced some of the best talents to go through the SEC. McCreary faced up against Ja’Marr Chase in his college days, and McCreary was able to hold his own against the 2020 Offensive Rookie of the Year.

That being said, having a corner-back duo of Jaylon Johnson and Roger McCreary with a little Thomas Graham Jr. doesn’t sound bad at all. In fact, McCreary should be in the Bears’ mind going into Day 2.
