The Chicago Bears should go up and draft wide receiver Skyy Moore in Round 2

With a run on wide receivers in the first round, one name we did not hear was Western Michigan’s Skyy Moore. Projected by some to go to a team like the Green Bay Packers, Moore did not hear his name called on Thursday night — and thankfully, he could be quite the addition for the Bears.

The 5-foot-10 wideout is a shifty, speedy playmaker who did nothing except produce with the Broncos. Although he didn’t face the stiffest competition in college, Moore looks every bit of being NFL ready.

Moore would benefit Justin Fields in a huge way by giving him a target who is always open. That is one of the best things you can say about Moore — he gets open consistently. His footwork and elusiveness jumps off the screen when you watch him play. He’s always open, and always looking back for his quarterback.

After the catch, Moore is absolutely electric. He ran a 4.41 at the Combine, but plays even faster than that. With the ball in his hands, Moore can do some special things. Last year, he caught 95 passes for 1,292 yards and 10 scores. With Darnell Mooney being more of a deep and intermediate threat, getting someone like Moore who excels in the quicker routes and creative plays would help this offense in a huge way.
