5. Romeo Doubs, WR, Nevada

Romeo Doubs, and his teammates Carson Strong and Cole Turner all lit it up in college and all are waiting to be selected on day three of the 2022 NFL draft. If the Chicago Bears were going to draft one, they would probably be interested in the wide receiver Romeo Doubs.

Doubs is a player who is falling for a couple of reasons. The first is that an injury held him back from working out, although he did end up getting a workout in before the draft. The second issue is that his route tree is thinner than most.

Doubs did not even line up on the opposite side of the field, so there is little versatility to his role. He stuck on one side of the field and typically ran up and down the sideline. Against the weaker competition, the QB was able to throw the football up and Doubs found ways to come down with it.

Now, teams are saying that with a questionable pre-draft process and a lot of ironing out to do, he is a day three player. That is fair, but now it could give the Chicago Bears an asset with upside.

Doubs still made big-time catches in the air and leaped over defenders on his way to the endzone. He is also a ferocious blocker, which could put him on the Chicago Bears’ radar.
