Should Chicago Bears draft Dominique Robinson in the 2022 NFL draft?

The Chicago Bears are currently in a spot where 71 may be too high, and 147 may be too low to see Dominique Robinson on their team. However, many expect the team to trade down at some point to pick up a few picks after Ryan Pace depleted their equity.

If that is the case, it could make Robinson intriguing in the range between those two picks they currently have. The Chicago Bears have Robert Quinn, Trevis Gipson, and Jeremiah Attaochu which does give the team a need for a fourth edge rusher. Instead of paying for one, a day three pick could be perfect to spend on one.

Robinson could be the fourth edge rusher for one season behind Robert Quinn, which would be a great learning experience. After 2022, the team could move on from Quinn, and it would be time for Robinson to step up, or they could realize that they need to keep Quinn and that Robinson is only a rotational rusher. That is the right trajectory and expectations to come into drafting Robinson.

As of right now, it is hard to say that they will have the extra draft picks to make this happen. However, if they can pick up an extra pick or two and one of them in close to pick 100 they could be looking at Dominique Robinson because he has a serious upside down the line.
