The Chicago Bears made the most of day three, which got them a head start on some UDFAs that they may have been worried about missing out on. Still, the team was active as ever with a long list of UDFA additions. While most UDFAs do not surface anywhere, there are always one or two from every class that becomes a camp darling and find their way into making noise in the NFL.

With that in mind, who are three players that the Chicago Bears nabbed that may be able to make a roster?

3. Jean Delance, RT, Florida

Ryan Poles is doing everything he can to fix the offensive line. Cut him some slack on the premium picks, Ryan Pace did not put him in a great spot. However, Poles knew the assignment and it was turning a small amount of draft capital into dart after dart on the offensive line.

Ja’Tyre Carter, Zach Thomas, Braxton Jones, and Doug Kramer all make up depth that Poles is hoping will help improve the room. Another name to consider is Jean DeLance. The Bears essentially have a starting five as Carter and Thomas are expected to move to guard, while Jones and Delance will likely stick at tackle. Then, Kramer is the center that does not have position versatility.

Delance was a highly recruited prospect who started his career at Texas but wound up transferring to Florida. He was a three-year starter for the Gators where you consistently saw flashes, followed by inconsistent play.

Delance never really progressed, and right now is overly reliant on his physical traits. Still, he has the traits to last in the NFL.

The first thing that stands out is that he is a bit short, but if you look above his height his arm length is well above average and some of the longest of any tackles.

Beyond that, he has above-average athleticsm across the board that inspires upside. Considering the Bears offensive line depth chart, his physical upside, and the experience of three years in the SEC, he should at least be capable to pushing Lachavious Simmons.
