The Chicago Bears should add Will Fuller, Wide Receiver

If the Bears want an immediate impact at wide receiver who can be the starting ‘X’ wide receiver and give Justin Fields yet another deep threat, they can look no further to Will Fuller. The major red flag surrounding him is his ability to stay healthy. Otherwise, he’s a killer on the field.

Getting the red flag out of the way, Fuller has never played more than 12 games in a season. However, 10 games of Will Fuller is better than 17 games of Equanimeous St. Brown. When Fuller is healthy, he is a major threat to defensive backs.

In 2021, Fuller hardly played due to an injury and a suspension from his prior season. In 2020, Fuller surprisingly stayed healthy up until his suspension. In just 11 games, Fuller caught 53 passes for 879 yards and eight touchdowns averaging nearly 80 yards per game. He and Deshaun Watson torched opposing defenses together.

The main core of Fuller, Darnell Mooney, and Velus Jones Jr. could essentially be a track team. Mooney would be the slowest of the three as he ran a 4.38 40-yard dash. Add Byron Pringle in there and you have yourself a great 4×100 relay team. Jokes aside, this core would be a great complement to the strengths of Fields due to his deep-ball ability.
