Where should the Chicago Bears be ranked right now?

We all knew the Chicago Bears would struggle in 2022. The key to this season is Justin Fields’ development. This may be difficult without multiple receiving options, but let’s not turn our noses up at Darnell Mooney, Cole Kmet, Darnell Mooney and Khalil Herbert. Not to mention the addition of Byron Pringle and draft pick Velus Jones, Jr. The scheme change should also help Fields.

It may not be the same approach as the Jets, but let’s see how 2022 goes and what takes place in 2023 before pulling out the pitchforks for Ryan Poles. These power rankings mean little more than something to debate and discuss. Do you think it’s fair to have the Bears ranked 30th at this point? If not, how much higher or, even worse, lower do you think the Bears should be?

When I look at this roster, I have them higher than 30. It’s possible my Bear Goggles are on too tight again, but with the additions to the defense, the scheme change and Justin Fields being in year two of his career, I see the Bears being better than the Falcons, Panthers, Giants, Seahawks and Commanders — all teams that are currently ahead of them in the rankings.

I can also see them beating out the Lions and Jets despite the nice haul. Plus, the Jets are in the AFC which is a much tougher conference. I think the Bears were correctly ranked at 25 and should not have dropped in the rankings.
