While Dane Cruikshank was the Chicago Bears’ starting strong safety at this point last week, he now is back in a role he is much more familiar with, a dime role player.
Sure, Dane Cruikshank will get a chance to compete, but with Jaquan Brisker going in the top 50 picks, he is almost a lock to start. Drafting him that high, and Ryan Poles admitting that he was far and away the best player on their board shows that they probably saw first-round upside from him.
