Ranking Chicago Bears rookie offensive linemen most likely to start

2. Braxton Jones

Jean Delance was bumped up because of the need at tackle, but Braxton Jones has even more going for him. Delance was a UDFA and a right tackle. Braxton Jones was the first of these five linemen to be drafted. Beyond that, he is a left tackle,

While Teven Jenkins could play left tackle, the work he has done at right tackle this offseason makes you think that Larry Borom will be taking on Braxton Jones at left tackle.

If that is the case you have to think that Jones may start at some point this season. Borom has not stayed healthy in the NFL and is a day three pick himself. That also is a pick from Ryan Pace, and not Poles.

Poles selected Braxton Jones, and while he will not favor Jones, the staff does like his fit in the offense while we do not know how they feel on Borom. Either way, it opens a chance for Jones to start at left tackle.
