USA Today also has the Chicago Bears ranked 31st

Nate Davis, journalist for USA Today, agrees with Bleacher Report. He also ranked the Chicago Bears 31st in the league — only he has the Falcons dead last instead of Houston. And although all of these rankings in May are pointless, they should still attempt at being accurate. Both USA Today and Bleacher Report were at least right about one thing, the Bears should be ranked ahead of both Houston and Atlanta.

In the article, Davis goes on about how he applauds the Bears for retooling their identity in this rebuilding year with a focus on major changes in 2023. However, he then follows suit with the rest of the national media outlets saying , “couldn’t we be doing more to fuel Justin Fields’ development in 2022?”

Now, these thoughts aren’t necessarily wrong. I too wish they added more firepower to the WR room. I too wish they added a name to the offensive line rather than just castoffs and rookies. That said, they brought in guys who fit their scheme and they aren’t afraid to adjust that scheme based on player strength. This is real coaching.
