1. Chicago Bears most valuable player from the Ryan Pace era is Justin Fields
This one is rather obvious. Justin Fields did not perform the way that most fans, media, or analysts wanted him to during his rookie season. Matt Nagy gets the blame, Ryan Pace and his poor roster get the blame, but Fields needs to improve himself as well.
There were questions about how fast Fields can get through his reads in college and at times he was slow to pull the trigger in the NFL. Things have to come more naturally to him and he has to speed things up a tick.
Of course, if that does happen, then all questions and concerns about the roster start to fade away. Football teams need to be complete, but a quarterback can erase more sins than any other player on the field.
If Fields struggles, it puts the team in a tough spot. Do they blame him, do they blame his supporting cast, how do they divvy things up? With that in mind, his success will make or break the Chicago Bears more than any other player that was already on the roster.
