Another way too early prediction of the Chicago Bears 53-man roster
Predicting which offensive linemen the Chicago Bears will keep
Last season, the Chicago Bears kept 10 offensive linemen on the active roster. Will they do the same in 2022? Let’s make a prediction. I’ll take it a step further and break it down based on offensive tackle and interior offensive linemen.
- OT1: Teven Jenkins
- OT2: Larry Borom
- OT3: Braxton Jones
- OT4: Julie’n Davenport
The interior of the offensive line has three positions and therefore I believe will see more players kept. Here is who will make the final roster.
- C: Lucas Patrick
- OG1: Cody Whitehair
- OG2: Dieter Eiselen
- OG3: Zach Thomas
- OG4/C2: Doug Kramer
- OG5: Ja’Tyre Carter
Well, I have this team keeping 10 offensive linemen again this year. I also think that I am using some wishful thinking with the final offensive guards being kept. By keeping the three draft picks from Ryan Poles’ first draft, it would mean that Sam Mustipher isn’t kept. The problem with that thinking is that Mustipher is likely to stay and one of those three will be pushed to the practice squad.
Ideally, this would be the group that sticks around though. The other real possibility could be they bring in a cut candidate from another team. I could see that happening with an offensive tackle mostly. The team has plenty of salary cap space to make an additional free agent signing or two before the season starts.
The offensive players are totaled at 27. This leaves 26 players. Three of those players are on special teams. Who is left?
