3. Detroit Lions: Jared Goff, Tim Boyle, David Blough

Jared Goff was not good last season, but he was thrown into a bad spot. They did not give him any skill players to work with, and his starting center and tackle missed most of the season with injuries.

The team should have Taylor Decker and Frank Ragnow, and they added DJ Chark and Jameson Williams to the emerging Amon-Ra St. Brown. We should see Jared Goff closer to what he was with the Rams, even if it is on the lower end.

Still, that is about an average starting quarterback, and at this point Bears fans would be okay if that is the step that Justin Fields took. We can give Sean McVay all of the credit, but Goff has enough of a resume to beat out the unknown of Fields on the list for now.

The two are definitely close, mainly because you could actually argue that Boyle and Blough are not better than Siemian and Peterman. Siemian may be the best of these four, and Peterman may be the worst, so it is close. By the end of the season, the hope is that Justin Fields showed enough to where the Chicago Bears will be number three here.
