With the countdown until the start of the regular season underway, we are also counting down the Chicago Bears roster from the 90th man to number one. This list is focusing on who is the most valuable and it will only be taking this year into account. If they hit their peak next year, how impactful could it be on the Bears roster?

We are now onto the 87th player overall on our list.

Chicago Bears 2022 roster ranking: No. 87 Noah Dawkins

Noah Dawkins is not very well known, but he has been in the NFL since 2019, and he was one of the first signings that Ryan Poles made after being hired. Of course, some of that is because Dawkins was able to sign before free agency.

He was with the New York Jets for 2020, and 2021 seasons. He spent most of his time on the practice squad, other than a brief stint on the active roster to close out 2020. Still, he did not sign a future deal with the Jets after 2021.

In 2019, Dawkins signed as a UDFA with the Cincinnati Bengals. He spent the first month of his career on the Bengals practice squad but finished 2019 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He went to training camp with the Bucs in 2020, and that is when he was cut and found himself sticking with the Jets.

Noah Dawkins is a linebacker and a player that has bounced around for a bit throughout his career. While the Chicago Bears linebacker depth chart is not one of the most full rooms around, he is certainly behind UDFAs such as Jack Sanborn, and C.J. Avery, mainly because these players are much younger and present more untapped potential.

Dawkins could have a strong camp and make it as a back-end of the roster player. Special teams will be his path for sure. However, in most cases, seeing him stick around the practice squad four years into his NFL career could be a big win.
