3. Chicago Bears: David Montgomery, Khalil Herbert, Darrynton Evans, Trestan Ebner

The Chicago Bears just slightly edge out the Detroit Lions here. David Montgomery has proven a bit more than DeAndre Swift, although having one more season of work.

Swift is the big-play threat who lacks consistency, while David Montgomery is basically the opposite. He is Mr. Consistent who can ground out yards but does not quite have the splash that makes him an elite runner. That is what brings the big questions when it comes to whether the Bears will extend him or not. Still, as of now, it is easier to trust him than Swift.

Hebert vs. Jamaal Williams is an interesting debate as well. Herbert has more upside and more of the splash, but as a rookie who was on an offense that was not great, there are questions about what exactly he can become. We know what Williams is, and he is a good running back, but his upside overall is capped, and he is what he is.

Darrynton Evans and Ebner are huge question marks as well, but both can be 4.4 and under-backs who have return game upside and receiving game ability. Still, the Bears have a rookie and a third-round pick who has barely been able to stay on the field, so they do not quite complete the room yet.
