We are now in the heat of rankings season. The Chicago Bears have finished up their OTAs, and we are now a few weeks away from training camp. With that in mind, everyone will be starting up their favorite rankings.

For the Chicago Bears, we will be looking at how each position group ranks within their division. The division rivals are your most important competition, and it will be good to see where the Bears stack up.

Keep in mind we are looking at the entire room, depth included for this. It goes beyond just the starters.

4. Minnesota Vikings: Irv Smith, Ben Ellenson, Johnny Mundt

The Minnesota Vikings tight end room is filled with question marks. At the high-end Irv Smith could be a legitimate option. Smith is still only 23 years old, so there is plenty of time but through two NFL seasons, he has not shown much of anything.

It is hard considering he spent all of 2021 on the IR. His 2022 looks more promising but he is coming off a season-ending surgery and is still showing how tough the transition to the NFL is. This is a big year, but until he proves anything they sit at the bottom of the totem pole.

Ben Ellenson and Johnny Mundt do not do anything to bring them back up the list. They have less upside and potential as Irv Smith with just as much unproven ability. This one is pretty obvious.
