3. Detroit Lions: TJ Hockenson, Brock Wright, James Mitchell

The first through third teams in the division are definitely tighter than the fourth team, who is clearly down this low. While injury has completely derailed the career of Irv Smith, we have at least seen flashes from T.J. Hockenson as a legitimate option.

Hockenson missed five games due to injury, and the midseason bang-up derailed what was looking like a strong season. Still, now Hockenson is entering his fourth NFL season and he has not quite broken out in the way that the Lions want.

Another thing that is hurting the Lions’ overall room is the depth. Brock Wright is entering his second NFL season and only has 117 yards. Meanwhile, James Mitchell is a rookie and a day three pick coming off a season-ending injury. It is questionable if he can even make an impact this season.

With all of that in mind, you have to think that even the upside of Hockenson cannot carry the unit to the top two in the division.
