2. Matt Adams

Some fans probably do not know about Matt Adams yet, but he not only is likely to make the roster, but he would also technically be a starter in the base 4-3 defense if the season started today.

Matt Adams has something that many do not, and that is coaching familiarity. He was a seventh-round pick by the Colts. He spent most of his career on special teams but jumped from a core special teams player to a depth defensive member quickly.

Now, he is following the coaches that bet on him and saw him rise so far in his career. Adams is going to make the roster because they obviously trust him on special teams. Still, behind Nicholas Morrow and Roquan Smith, it is hard to say anyone would be ahead of him. Caleb Johnson was a UDFA from the past regime, while Jack Sanborn and CJ Avery are rookie UDFAs. It will be tough to unseat him.

Get used to the name Matt Adams, as you will be surprised when you first see him on the field early into the preseason.
