Now that we are between the start of training camp and the end of OTAs it is the peak days of rankings season. This is the time to rank where the Chicago Bears stand next to their competition. Considering the NFC North is what will make or break the team, that is who we will be ranking them in comparison with.

Today, we will look at the NFC North edge rusher rooms. For this, we will look at the team’s top four edge rushers per team. So, we will rank not only the top players but the depth. Which group is the most complete?

4. Detroit Lions: Aidan Hutchinson, Charles Harris, Julian Okwara, Romeo Okwara

The Detroit Lions could step up this season and wind up rated far higher than this. Still, they have the most projection out of any of the teams in the NFC North. It obviously starts with Hutchinson. It is easy to say that as the number two overall pick he will hit the ground running, but there are still questions about what exactly he will be bringing.

Charles Harris was a former first-round pick who may be finding his footing with the Lions. Still, out of five NFL seasons, he has one strong season, and it was last season. He may have to prove it for a second year.

Then, there are the Okwara brothers. Romeo Okwara played in just four games last season but otherwise has been reliable. Still, now that he is coming off an injury there are going to be questioned. His brother is not much of a run defender, and more of a situational pass rusher.

Julian Okwara did little during his rookie season, but in year two he found his legs and totaled five sacks. You can tell the story where Romeo gets healthy, Julian is a great depth edge rusher, Harris does what he did last year, and Hutchinson is the star. Still, that is hoping everything goes right, and until they sit this low.
