3. Chicago Bears: Roquan Smith, Nicholas Morrow, Matt Adams, Jack Sanborn

The Chicago Bears arguably could be higher on the value of Roquan Smith alone. It could be argued that he is the best linebacker in the division, and if he is not, he is right in line with any other players.

Still, the other teams in the division do have some pretty strong candidates to stack up to Roquan Smith, and the big issue for the Bears is their depth. It is fair to say that if Nicholas Morrow gets healthy and plays like his 2020 version, or takes a step forward, the team could be fine.

Still, they signed a cheap linebacker in Morrow because he did miss so much time, and because for the most part, he was not more than a depth linebacker.

Behind Morrow brings even more questions. Most Bears fans are still learning that Adams is a player on the roster and someone who will make the team. He was a special teams asset and depth linebacker for the Colts, and considering he followed the coaching staff and signed a decent deal, he will likely make the team.

Then, there is UDFA Jack Sanborn. He has become the fan-favorite UDFA that arises every year. Still, there are more Tanner Gentry’s than Roy Robertson-Harris’ when you go the UDFA route and Sanborn has to prove it on the field. Until then, there is Roquan Smith and a lot of question marks with varying degrees of hows and whys.
