With the long wait until the start of training camp, we are now in the midst of rankings season. This is the time to rank where the Chicago Bears stand as they head into the year.

We will be ranking the NFC North, and each position in the division and seeing how the Bears stack up against the teams that matter the most. We have hit most positions already, and today we start the secondary with cornerbacks.

4. Detroit Lions: Jeff Okudah, Amani Oruwariye, A.J. Parker, Jerry Jacobs, Mike Hughes

There is not a team in the division with close to as many questions makes as the Detroit Lions are bringing into the 2022 season at cornerback. Okudah has had horrible injury luck and it has derailed his career. Still, what has to worry Lions fans is that he never looked good even when he was healthy.

Oruiwariye has been proven to be a fine number two cornerback who would be best on a team as a number four. Due to the injuries around him he has been thrust into being their top cornerback for too many games and it has often left them looking exposed.

With A.J. Parker and Jerry Jacobs they are taking shots with UDFAs they just acquired last year. Both showed off at times as rookies, but they were getting enough chances that they had to. The team had nothing else to throw out there. They added Mike Hughes this year, but most know that he has not worked out as a former first-round pick. After missing with the Vikings and not sticking on the Chiefs it seems like this could be his last stop.

Overall, they are relying on Okudah to be what they drafted him to be, and that is a big question mark now.
