10 best Chicago Bears draft picks of the Ryan Pace era
9. Jordan Howard Pick 150th overall
The debate between David Montgomery and Jordan Howard was a tough one. Considering Pace himself traded Howard to make way for Montgomery, and Montgomery is entering year four while Howard left after three should be enough for Montgomery.
However, below you can see how they have both performed through three seasons. It is almost a dead tie when you think that Montgomery is the better pass catcher. You can blame Matt Nagy, but Howard had one year with him, and Dowell Loggains was not running the most sophisticated offense for Howard.

So, at this point, the big difference between Montgomery and Howard is that Howard was drafted 77 picks later. To get that type of production out of the 150th pick has to be celebrated. The last piece of the Jordan Howard trade is that they added a sixth-round pick from the Eagles. Then, they used the pick to trade up to acquire Darnell Mooney. A small win that keeps Howard and his impact still churning.
