Chicago Bears Rival – Packers’ most overrated player: AJ Dillon, RB

This brings us to the last team in the NFC North and easily the most-hated (or at least most-rivaled) among Chicago Bears fans. Just for fun, I thought about putting Aaron Rodgers in this category. Obviously, that would have been a reach seeing how good Rodgers is as a player, but he has yet to achieve the type of success many believed he would based on his talent. Instead, he only has one Super Bowl ring and is 11-10 in the playoffs. Not good.

Instead, I was a little more realistic in my choice here and decided on AJ Dillon. Do you remember when AJ Dillion first hit the scene and how everyone swooned over those tree-trunk-size legs of his? Well, that alone has put him in the overrated category. Too many fans have talked about how amazing Dillon was going to be and although not a bad running back, he has not lived up to the hype though either — especially behind an above-average offensive line.

Some believe this is because of the timeshare he has with Aaron Jones. That’s partly the case. In his rookie season, Dillon averaged 5.3 yards per carry. Once he saw a higher volume of work, that average dropped drastically to 4.3. The sophomore running back did find the end zone seven times last year, but that’s expected for a high-scoring offense (25.6 points-per-game) like the Packers have. Dillon is both a threat on the ground and through the air, but he’s talked about too highly at this point to not be considered overrated.

Other Considerations: Adrian Amos, S; Sammy Watkins, WR; DeVondre Campbell, LB; Christian Watson, WR; Robert Tonyan, TE; Darnell Savage, S; THE WHOLE TEAM (Joke, joke)
