Chicago Bears who need a dominant training camp: Tavon Young, CB

Wait, what? How can I have Tavon Young on this list? Well, he has not been practicing with the starters despite having the best track record at the nickel corner spot. Injuries are obviously a big concern regarding Young, but as of now, he’s going to have to have a more dominant training camp than Thomas Graham, Jr.

I have always been a big fan of Graham and personally hope that he ends up winning the spot. However, if Tavon Young wants to see more playing time, he’s going to need to prove himself during training camp.

When healthy, Young has been one of the more dominant nickel corners in the league. Quarterbacks have not completed more than 66% of their passes while targeting Young. Last season, Young started seven games and came away with one interception. He allowed two touchdowns and quarterbacks only saw a quarterback rating of 85.1. It is appealing though that the defensive coaches find Graham to be the better option as of now.
