If we look at the situation the Chicago Bears and Robert Quinn are in right now, there are plenty of possible outcomes. Does Robert Quinn force Ryan Poles’ hand into trading him out of Chicago? Does Poles find a trade partner willing to give up what is truly worthy of a 32-year-old pass rusher coming off an 18.5 sack season? It is even possible that Robert Quinn shows up for training camp next week and neither he nor the team skips a beat as if the trade rumors were nothing but false whispers.
One team stands out as the perfect trade partner for the Chicago Bears and Robert Quinn
Nothing has been leaked on the rumor mill regarding the Bears and Quinn as of late, but we just saw Ryan Poles make a trade for N’Keal Harry less than a week ago. Obviously, he is not afraid to be on the phones with teams while we sit here during the slowest time of the NFL offseason. Again, it’s possible that Poles is going to wait to see if Quinn shows up for training camp before making a decision, but that could also eliminate some of his leverage with not only Quinn but also any potential trade partners.
Let’s talk about what type of trade capital the Chicago Bears should expect to see in a trade for Quinn. We saw Khalil Mack traded to the Los Angeles Chargers for a second-round pick this year (Jaquan Brisker pick) and a sixth-round pick next year. That sixth-round pick turned into two seventh-rounders in 2022 on Draft Day. Robert Quinn is not worth a second-round pick at this point in his career, but he worth more than I think some teams are willing to give up.
