When we look at the NFC as teams head into their training camps next week, the Chicago Bears are going to be very low on most analysts’ radar. This is honestly rightfully so. That said, and maybe I have my “Bear Goggles On” too tight, I believe this team is going to surprise many people. The team might not have a large number of blue chip players, but the right combination of skill sets can go a long distance. Even with my bias on full display, the Bears are not a Super Bowl contender and the chance of making the playoffs is a long shot.

NFC predictions will not be easy. There is a lot of parity within the conference. Some divisions are going to be easier to win than others. Which teams will find their way into the playoffs? Which team will win the NFC Championship and move onto the Super Bowl? Can the Los Angeles Rams find a way to repeat after winning in 2021? Only time will tell.

2022 NFC Predictions and where the Chicago Bears finish: NFC South

We are going to look at the divisions one by one and come up with some NFC predictions. If we look at the divisions, I think most would assume that the NFC South is the weakest division in the NFL. When you have the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons in the same division, it is pretty easy to come to that conclusion.

Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta traded away Matt Ryan and is now hoping either Marcus Mariota or rookie, Desmond Ridder can take them further than expected. Quite frankly, there is no chance of that happening and the Falcons might be one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Carolina Panthers

One of the other teams that will be giving them a run for their money is the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers will be holding a quarterback competition between Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield. Mayfield is going to win that job fairly easily in my opinion, but that won’t be enough for this team to turn things around.

New Orleans Saints

Even the New Orleans Saints are lacking in firepower at certain key positions. It will come down to the health of Jameis Winston and Michael Thomas.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

With Tom Brady not retiring as many thought he would, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a fairly easy path to success within this division.

NFC Prediction: NFC South

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers*
  2. New Orleans Saints
  3. Carolina Panthers
  4. Atlanta Falcons

Only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will make the playoffs from this division.
