2022 NFC Predictions: Wild Card and Playoffs

Well, let’s now try and predict the outcome of the NFC playoff race as the final teams make a push for the Super Bowl. Before we determine which teams will win and move on during Wild Card weekend, let’s recap which teams actually made the playoffs.

NFC Divisional Winners

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers – NFC South
  • Dallas Cowboys – NFC East
  • Los Angeles Rams – NFC West
  • Green Bay Packers – NFC North

I am going to predict that Tampa Bay will have the best record and the first-round bye.

NFC Wild Card

  • Philadelphia Eagles – NFC East
  • Arizona Cardinals – NFC West
  • Minnesota Vikings – NFC North

With Tampa Bay not playing on Wild Card Weekend, these four teams are going to advance:

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1st-Round Bye)
  • Dallas Cowboys
  • Los Angeles Rams
  • Green Bay Packers

I’ll predict that based on seeding, the Rams and Packers will meet, while the Bucs and Cowboys will meet. Here is how it will end and these two teams will face off against each other in the NFC Championship:

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Los Angeles Rams

And I will predict that Sean McVay will find a way to at least make back-to-back Super Bowl appearances. That said, I don’t believe they win it again. Instead, I believe and AFC team wins it this year. The real question is, can the Chicago Bears make a legitimate push in 2023 and finally find sustainable success going forward for years to come? That is the hope and it appears to be at least headed in the right direction.
