3 over/unders for Angelo Blackson for Chicago Bears
1. Over or Under 39 tackles
This one is interesting because this would be the first of the three that would not see him hit a career-high if he went over. Last season Angelo Blackson posted 43 tackles. So, only 40 tackles would go over, and unlike snaps and sacks, it would not be his best rate.
It would be an uncommon trend though. Even with more playing time on the Cardinals, Blackson had just 24 tackles in 2020. He had 20 in 2019, and 24 in 2018, before the first three years of his career, when he was not playing nearly as much.
So, two straight years over 40 tackles would still be a pretty big hike, even if it were not a career-high. Still, things are projecting upwards for Blackson across the board. More playing, more pressure, and that should be more tackles. He should be able to hit the 43 mark again, mainly because is going to be looked at as a centerpiece of this defense.
The extra snaps may wear Blackson down by the end of the year, and he is not expected to keep this role long-term, but this could be a career year for Blackson that gets him one last payday.
