3. Chicago Bears Storyline: Defensive line and Robert Quinn

After dealing Khalil Mack in the offseason, the Bears got worse on the defensive line, but it may not stop there as Robert Quinn could be dealt with shortly. Quinn who recently broke the Bears’ single-season sack record, is no doubt a very good player that could contribute to any team and should draw interest from the other teams. Moving Quinn makes a ton of sense for the Bears because they would get a great return for an aging asset, as well as getting future money off the books.

Trevis Gipson, in place of Khalil Mack, was fantastic for the Bears in 2021 and could be a long-term solution at EDGE rusher for the Bears. He is a great player who we always saw flashes of, but never got a chance behind Mack and Quinn.

Al-Quadin Muhammed is also an EDGE rusher who could fill in for ‘his absence if he were to get dealt. Muhammed followed Matt Eberflus to Chicago from Indianapolis and should be familiar with the coaches and the system.

If Gipson and Muhammed were to gain the front offices and coaching staffs confidence, it could make them confident enough to trade Robert Quinn.
