Should the Chicago Bears have been more active at WR in free agency this year?

I am already on record that I like what Ryan Poles has done for the most part this offseason. Just like a politician, you aren’t always going to agree with every decision they make. However, Poles has done enough to give him the patience and benefit of the doubt. I am also on record that I thought Poles should have done more at the wide receiver position this offseason and although you cannot project injuries (any player can be injured at some point in time), it just feels like Poles could have done more or at least something different.

David Moore, Tajae Sharpe and Dante Pettis are all likable players. Trading away a 2024 seventh-round pick for a now injured N’Keal Harry was a move I also liked. However, none of these moves actually move the needle. I know the needle wasn’t looking to be moved this year, but as I mentioned hindsight is always 20/20 and there were other moves that could have been made.

The Chicago Bears were smart not to overspend at the position for guys like Christian Kirk, Russell Gage and Marquez Valdez-Scantling. The team also couldn’t have made a trade for a guy like Tyreek Hill or Davante Adams this offseason. However, there are two moves I wish this team did make looking back at things.
